Enabling collaboration – One Public Estate
As part of the Government’s levelling up agenda Sheffield City Region Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) was tasked with identifying a pipeline of schemes to tackle inequalities in health, housing, education, and regeneration.
SHAPE was used to identify and shortlist the most relevant locations based on:
- Population and population density
- Population deprivation
- Population disease prevalence
By overlaying these datasets on the map, the SHAPE team were able to identify ‘hot spots’ where need was greatest. This information was plotted and shared as images to support project presentations and reports to create the agreed pipeline list.
