New features spotlight: ICS Strategy Atlas

The ICS Strategy Atlas has some great new features to support your service and estates planning. We shine a spotlight on the prioritisation matrix and pharmacy data.

Prioritisation Matrix

The priorisiation matrix looks at several different factors – health, demographic, estates and infrastructure – to give a top-level prioritisation score for your PCN.

The prioritisation score gives you an idea of where you sit nationally, whether in the top 10%, 10%-25% or bottom 75% of PCNs based on need, indicating whether funding bids will be accepted.

The ICS Strategy Atlas adds new functionality to the prioritisation matrix, allowing dynamic generation of each of the factors to enable you to review and understand your prioritisation need based on different factors. This means you can review and understand your prioritisation based on factors you have identified as a priority. For example, if you are looking at bidding for funding for a specific health condition, you can tailor the ‘health’ factor in the matrix to just look at prevalence of that condition, helping you see how your area compares to the rest of the country.

More pharmacy data

We’re adding more pharmacy-related information to SHAPE, and this is also available in the ICS Strategy Atlas The data includes Pharmacy First and smoking cessation data.

Pharmacy First information includes data on the number of consultations individual pharmacies perform on the seven conditions pharmacies can manage, including ear infections, shingles, sore throats and infected insect bites.

Find this data by turning on the pharmacy locations in SHAPE and using the attribute overlay to filter your pharmacies across to understand which services are being delivered where.
