SHAPE Project Spotlight

A web enabled toolkit for
PCN Estates Planning

Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are using a new, dedicated data toolkit to help forward plan, analyse data and enable commissioners to make informed decisions about future funding allocations.  

The digital toolkit provides PCNs with a consistent way of creating estates strategies, by prepopulating data including key statistics on population projections, demographics and the impact that will have on GP contact rates.

New GP Catchment Check

A new software tool has been designed to help GP practices quickly establish whether a patient is eligible to join its list. 

Catchment Check uses SHAPE data mapping technology to determine where a patient lives in relation to the GP practice they wish to join.

SHAPE showcased at
NHS Confed Expo

The team behind SHAPE were at the NHS Confed Expo in Manchester, showcasing exciting new products and demonstrating how its data analysis and insight can help inform effective decision making.

Parallel Data Intelligence, the developers of SHAPE, attended the two day conference where they had lots of thought-provoking discussions with people from across the NHS about how visualising their data can help with future estates and service planning.

Advisory forum launched
to steer future direction
of SHAPE

A SHAPE Advisory Forum has been launched to ensure the application is the best it can be for all users, both now and in the future.  

The independent advisory group will be made up of representatives from Parallel, the Department for Health and Social Care, Integrated Care Systems and Local Authorities.

New user group SHAPE Community to drive new features

The team behind SHAPE has announced the launch of ‘SHAPE Community’ to exclusively review and input into feature development. 

The user group will be called upon to review and test products ahead of their roll out, whilst informing new features and useful datasets required to ensure SHAPE continues to align with public service priorities.
