Let data drive your infrastructure strategy
As ICSs look to develop their infrastructure strategies over the next few months, here’s our guide to populating the ‘where are we now’ section of these complex documents.
Visualising social care data
Waiting times for adult social care have been in the news recently, with average waits reaching 149 days in some areas of the country. We worked with one local authority to add information on care homes, children’s residential homes and supported living to their SHAPE Local to support with capacity planning, enabling them to quickly visualize and access real-time social care data, and reduce waiting times.
Keeping new graduates local in Yorkshire
Michael Boland, Product Lead at Parallel, the developers of SHAPE, started with us through our GATEway programme – an initiative that aims to help young people into the world of work through graduate programmes, apprenticeships, traineeships and work experience placements across their organisation.
We celebrate Michael’s development within Parallel, alongside welcoming new talent to the team through GATEway.

New census data now in SHAPE
New census data is now in SHAPE, with updated demographic information, including full population counts with information such as age, gender and location giving you the most accurate and up-to-date data.
"SHAPE provides a really quick and easy way to review options for clients, without needing to have detailed knowledge of the entire social care estate. It also helps me to steer patients towards homes with current capacity, avoiding over-promising space at oversubscribed facilities, and helping with waiting lists."
